Two station masters at Katrasgarh railway station were suspended for negligence on Monday, when a goods train missed the signal and took the wrong route.

DHANBAD: Two station masters at Katrasgarh railway station were suspended for negligence on Monday, when a goods train missed the signal and took the wrong route.
R J Paswan and B N Chatterjee, missed their duty on Friday night which resulted into the mishap.
The mistake was realized soon and necessary steps were taken to put the train back on track. Railway traffic was stalled during the process.

Both station masters were suspended by the divisional railway manager on the same day.
The enquiry into the matter is still on and railway officials said appropriate action will be taken against them.
Sanjay Kumar, senior divisional operating manager, said this kind of negligence could result in severe accidents and the department maintains a zero tolerance policy for such irresponsible acts.
A similar incident occurred on October 23, when two wagons were derailed, during the process of putting the train back on track.
The five people responsible for the mishap were suspended.
